William Cargo
Managing Director, Premier Transmission Group

Bill Cargo held management positions in the UK gas industry from 1981, before becoming Engineering Director for Phoenix Natural Gas Limited from 1993 to 1999 during the introduction of natural gas to Northern Ireland. After working as Managing Director of Nile Valley Gas Company (Egypt), he became CEO of Premier Power Limited in 2001 during the construction of the new 600 MW CCGT. Joining Premier Transmission Limited prior to mutualisation, he became Managing Director in March 2005, and became Managing Director of Belfast Gas Transmission limited, in March 2008.

Paddy Larkin
Managing Director, Moyle Group

Paddy Larkin was appointed Managing Director of the Moyle Group in April 2007.

Previously Paddy was Chief Executive Officer of Premier Power Ltd, the BG group subsidiary which operates Ballylumford Power Station. Before that he held a number of operational and business positions in Premier Power – over a 14-year period – having joined from NIE in 1992.

Stephen Hemphill
Operations Manager, Premier Transmission

Stephen Hemphill is the Operations Manager for PTL within the NIEH Group.  A Chartered Mechanical Engineer, Stephen joined British Gas (North Thames) in 1990, and has since gained a varied experience of the UK and RoI gas industries through various managerial positions with British Gas, Phoenix Natural Gas and Bord Gais Eireann.

Emmet McFadden
Operations Officer, Premier Transmission

Emmet McFadden is Operations Officer for PTL within the NIEH Group. A Chartered Mechanical Engineer, Emmet joined Phoenix Natural Gas in 1999 as a graduate trainee, he has worked in all aspects of Gas Distribution Engineering, before joining PTL in April 2005. He is currently responsible for Network Code, Shipper relations and associated systems.

Mark Raphael
Engineer - Commercial Operations, Premier Transmission

Mark joined Premier Transmission in September 2008. He is responsible for  day to day customer operations, including billing shippers and the network code development.

Mark joined Phoenix Natural Gas in 2002 as a Engineering Graduate, then moved to firmus Energy as Industrial and Commercial Engineer before joining PTL in September 2008. Mark is a keen sportsman having played hockey as an Irish International.

Gerard McIlroy
Group Finance Manager, Northern Ireland Energy Holdings

Gerard joined Northern Ireland Energy Holdings in July 2006. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Gerard trained with Coopers and Lybrand in Belfast and has previous experience in the health, retail and energy sectors within Northern Ireland. He joined NIEH after five years with the Viridian Group where he was Finance Manager with their unregulated energy supply business covering both the Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland market.

Paul McGuckin
Business Analyst, Northern Ireland Energy Holdings

Paul joined Northern Ireland Energy Holdings as Business Analyst in September 2008 and is responsible for providing a complete financial analysis and financial modelling resource for the NIEH group. 

A Chartered Accountant, Paul completed his accountancy training with KPMG prior to joining NIEH.  Paul spent 4 years with KPMG’s corporate finance department where he gained significant experience in financial modeling and analysis through working on fundraising mandates, business acquisitions, disposals and valuations across a variety of sectors.

Roisin Doherty
Office Manager – Northern Ireland Energy Holdings

Roisin Doherty is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. She has worked in the procurement and sales industry for 15 years and began with Northern Ireland Energy Holdings in 2007 as the Office Manager.
