The European Renewable Energy Fund
As part of its mission to manage assets in the long-term interests of energy consumers NIEH has become involved in the renewable and sustainable energy sector.
In September 2007 NIEH announced plans to become a founding investor in the European Renewable Energy Fund. Following consultation with the Northern Ireland Authority for Energy Regulation (NIAER) it was agreed that NIEH would invest £10M in a fund to be set up during 2007.
